This year is the five year anniversary of the proclamation of Mary Magdalene’s Feast Day.
Prior to 2016, in the Catholic Church, her day, July 22nd, was celebrated as a memorial, not a feast day. Feast Days are reserved for persons deemed to have particular importance, like St. Peter, or Thomas Aquinas.
As a way to begin the acknowledgement of the divine feminine, and bring it into the mainstream, this was an incredibly important shift.
Mary Magdalene is a beautiful vessel and conduit through which you can explore the divine feminine, no matter what your religious and spiritual background.
She is a rising archetype of our age, and she is a mystical figure who holds many insights.
Whatever your religious beliefs are or are not, the archetypal Mary Magdalene and her story, (which is still unfolding right before our eyes) is an invitation to encounter the rising divine feminine in our time.
This last bit is the really exciting part.
We are privileged to live in a time when a new collective archetype is developing. That means that whenever you or I do any creative or inner spiritual work, with or around this archetype in any of its mythic manifestations, we are helping to shape its expression in our culture.
If you’d like to engage with some of this emerging divine feminine energy and discover how it is part of your evolving story than please join me on the fifth anniversary of the Feast Day of Mary Magdalene, Thursday, July 22nd, when I will facilitate an online creative afternoon retreat, 11am – 2pm eastern. A recording will be available if you can’t attend live.
We will look at what we know about Mary Magdalene, and the clues that surround her mystery.
After diving into her story we’ll discuss the divine feminine and how The Magdalene in her mystical aspect can illuminate the path to a more complete understanding of the Divine.
Then we will move into creative process and using images, the language of the soul, explore our understandings and encounters with The Mystical Mary Magdalene and the divine feminine.
